Adolfo Molada Tebar

geomatics engineer | colour scientist

Adolfo is an engineer in Geodesy and Cartography (2013), with a master’s degree in Geomatic and Geographic Information Engineering (2016) and a PhD in Geomatics Engineering (2020), all from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). During his PhD, Adolfo mainly researched spectral data processing, colourimetry, and image processing for the benefit of cultural heritage documentation, especially rock art paintings. He has developed the open-source, Python-based pyColourimetry software for the rigorous colour registration and processing of digital photographs.

His role in INDIGO concers the design and implementation of a robust and effective workflow for the accurate colour data acquisition and processing of digital images. To that end, he will extend his pyColourimetry software into a fully-fledged toolbox that holds various scripts for standard and advanced colourimetric tasks. This toolbox will be open-source and freely available for both the scientific community and the general public.
