UrbanChameleon logo

Posted on August 29, 2023

The final goal of project INDIGO is the creation of an interactive, freely accessible platform on which all gathered graffiti data become accessible. A first and very minimal version of this platform – called UrbanChameleon – is already available online.

Today, we finalised two versions of this platform’s logo: One with the name fully written out and one using just the platform’s initials.

The cute chameleon drawing from this platform is by INDIGO researcher Jona Schlegel, who also runs an artistic Instagram account.

Summary

Graffiti is unique, short-lived heritage balancing between tangible and intangible, offensive and pleasant. Graffiti makes people laugh, wonder, angry, think.

The two-year INDIGO project aims to build the basis to systematically document, monitor, and analyse circa 13 km of graffiti along Vienna’s Danube Canal in the next decade.
