Today, the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) announced that INDIGO’s final project report has been accepted by international reviewers.
This acceptance signifies that the research conducted during the 2-year INDIGO project is considered valuable and internationally relevant. Second, it opens up the door for a follow-up project.
Despite accomplishing a huge amount of scientific output (hardware, software, data sets, publications, presentations) and non-scientific public dissemination (social media, press and podcast coverage, events), various lines of basic research remained unfinished. Hence, the intention is to find funding for a follow-up INDIGO 2.0 project.
It has always been the intention of INDIGO to build the technical and logistical basis to start monitoring Donaukanal graffiti over the next decade. That is still the aim, so stay tuned, as this quest is far from over.
